Steve Morgan
Steve Morgan is one of Australia’s most recognised names in recreational fishing, known for his influence as a publisher, tournament director, and competitive angler. He built his reputation through Fishing Monthly, a national magazine he owned and ran for over two decades, and co-founded the Australian Bass Tournament (ABT) series, which helped professionalise tournament angling in Australia.
As the only angler to have won ABT events across bream, bass, and barra, Steve remains one of the country’s most successful competitors. While Fishing Monthly has since finished its run, he continues to shape the sport through tournaments, media, and education.
